What are your dietary, natural health or green living interests and/or restrictions (or, more generally, why are you interested in joining this site)????
I try my best to eliminate refined/processed foods from my diet, however, I do enjoy the occasional ice cream binge. ;) I have gradually, over the years reduced my processed food intake a great deal and now only cook with whole grains, whole food period. You won't find any refined sugars or white flour in my pantry. I am now looking forward to exploring the raw food diet and am actually awaiting my 1st book on the subject from Victoria Boutenko called 12 Steps to Raw Foods and another book by Robyn Openshaw called "The Green Smoothies Diet". I'm excited to see this site and all the wonderful classes available and I'm hoping to post a self care class I'm offering this summer.
How did you hear about this site?

New Self Care Class at Touch Omaha Bodywork

4225 Cuming Street (The Healing Gallery) – in the newly remodeled YOGA Studio

** PREREGISTRATION BY MAY 9TH IS REQUIRED **

Learn a valuable self care, self massage technique that you can do anywhere, anytime using an inflatable ball no larger than a basketball.

You will learn valuable skills including deep breathing exercises, balance, coordination, and the proper technique to insure you obtain the deepest release of tension and tight muscles.  This class will help you free your body of restrictions and bring your body back to health.

What you need to bring to class:

1.  An inflatable vinyl or rubber ball

§  Be sure it can support your weight, these can be found at your local toy store, you may also find one at Walgreen's or Sam's

     Club

§  For folks 5'4" and under I recommend a 6-8" diameter ball, and for taller folks a 9-10” diameter ball

2.  A yoga or exercise mat

3.  Tight fitting, comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in (the ball tends to roll up in loose fitting clothing)

4.  If you have long hair be sure to put it up

Classes starting the WEEK OF MAY 9th

Classes are approximately an hour long and are offered at the following times:

Tuesdays:  9:30am & 6:30pm

Wednesdays and Fridays:  12:00pm

** Class fee is by donation

Donations should be based on the following:

§  what are you comfortable offering (ie what can you afford)

§  never offer more than you feel you can afford, or less… you will walk away feeling uncomfortable and not want to return

regardless of how much you enjoyed or benefited from the class

I look forward to seeing you soon!
