LOL yes it IS the second garlic.  Funny as long as this recipe has been up here I didn't notice my mis-type.  I can't eat it.  My dh can, but it is just too strong for me.  I have to swig it really fast, and chase it…

A group of friends of mine were passing a similar recipe around a couple of years ago.  Our version included ginger I wonder if that is the second "garlic" you have on the list.  We didn't strain it or anything and just ate…

Excellent article. It should be a wake up call, but what's it going to take to wake up the FDS and USDA as well up our leaders on top. Just reading this article should be a wake up call to the world.

Another movie I am waiting for!  This one looks really interesting from the preview:

"Today in the United States, by the simple act of feeding ourselves, we unwittingly participate in the largest experiment ever conducted on human beings. Massive agro-chemical companies like Monsanto (Agent Orange) and Dow (Napalm) are feeding us genetically-modified food, GMO’s, that have never been fully…

I understand about wanting to raise more of what you eat. After getting sick about 6 years ago, we really started down this path about three years ago and now produce about 60% of what we eat with a goal of 90% down the road. Surprising us, this turned into a business for us www.simplysoupmix.com. What I did when we started was to come up with a five-year plan outline of where we were and where we wanted to be, then filled in a realistic monthly goals in between. This seemed to help us stay on track, be organized and saved us a lot of headache and mistakes. Hope this helps. Looking forward to "talking" with you more on your "real food" journey as well. Take care and have a great week!

Heya! Sorry I haven't been too active, I've come down with the plague (aka terrible flu!) and haven't been too active. My camera also died so I can't take pictures of my sproutlings, which I wanted to do for the gardening group! Maybe try my camera on my phone once the sun comes back and the icy snow starts to go away.
